1) What should I know before I order?
Signing up is super easy, but here are 2 things that will help you maximize your Brooklyn Braised experience.
All meal selections must be received by Wednesday for delivery the following week.

We’ll always send you a weekly email and text reminder with the deadline to make any changes to your next order.
2) What days of the week do you deliver?
We currently deliver two times weekly: Mondays and Wednesdays.
3) What is the deadline to place an order?
We ask that you place orders by Wednesday of the week prior (5 days ahead of Monday’s delivery). This is so we have time to source the freshest ingredients possible for your made-to-order meals.
4) What type of food does Brooklyn Braised offer?
We offer a menu of poultry, pescatarian, vegan and vegetarian options.
5) From where do you source your food?
Our produce is sourced from farms in Upstate New York and New Jersey.
6) Will you deliver to my place of work?
Absolutely! We will deliver to whatever address you provide.
7) Do you cater events?
Of course we do! Just complete the form on the website; we will respond within 48 hours.
8) How many portions do your meals serve?
Right now, all our meals are single serving and meant to feed one person. We don’t offer family-sized meals at the moment.
9) What if I’m not happy with my delivery?
It’s really important to us that you have an amazing Brooklyn Braised experience. If you’re not happy or run into an issue, you can contact a member of our customer care team with questions or complaints every day at email@example.com. We’ll make it right.
11) Do you change the meals on your menu?
There are 20 menu items on the current menu. At times we will offer new menu specials based on farm availability. A new menu of items for Spring/Summer will be available in April 2018.
12) Where are your meals cooked?
All of our meals are cooked at a 10,000 square foot culinary incubator in Bedford Stuyvesant.
13) Do you cater to special medical or dietary needs?
Our meals are ideal for people managing their sugar intake, fueling their active lifestyles, and looking to avoid processed food. If you’re simply searching for healthier alternatives to takeout or faster alternatives to cooking healthy meals for yourself, our meals will definitely be a great option for you, too.
If you have questions about your dietary needs in relation to a medical condition, we recommend talking to your doctor.
14) How do I heat up my meals?
Your meals will come to you fully cooked so you just have to heat ‘em up in the microwave. On the back of each meal, you’ll find our easy steps for heating, but generally, the meals heat up in about three minutes (depending on your microwave). If you’re unsure, start at 2 minutes and heat in 30-second increments until the temperature is right for you.
15) Can I heat my meals in an oven?
Yes, you most certainly can! Just so you know, our current meal containers aren’t safe for the oven or stove-top, so you’ll have to transfer your food to heat it up.
First, preheat your oven to 325° F. (If you’re using a convection oven, preheat to 300° F.) Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish and cover the top with foil.
For entrees: Heat for 8 minutes, stir, and then heat for another 2 minutes.
Remember, you’re just heating the meal, not cooking it, so once it’s hot, it’s ready to eat!
16) How long will the meals last?
Since we don’t use artificial or chemical preservatives, the meals have a refrigerated shelf life of about 4–5 days. Every meal has a “use by” date on the back nutrition label.
