A self-appointed culinary chef Christa Lynch honed her craft observing Daniel Boulud (db Bistro Moderne), David Burke (Fishtail), and of course her mom, Barbara.

“I learned from a very young age to preserve the integrity and flavor of every ingredient. My mother always cooked with fresh, local whole foods. We use that same philosophy at Brooklyn Braised.”

With over 15+ years experience working the front of house Christa knows exactly what’s needed to make diners happy. Striking out on her own in 2017 she developed a new culinary concept for the Brooklyn market.

Brooklyn Braised prepares locally sourced farm-to-table meal plans to discerning palates throughout the boroughs. They are also a full-service caterer providing custom Menu Design and Event Execution for intimate family gatherings to large-scale corporate programs.

“Before designing a menu for an event, we meet with clients to better understand their relationship with food,” shares Christa. “We take everything into account from dietary restrictions to the season, creating a Taste Personality profile.” Brooklyn Braised then tailors the menu to meet the individual needs of the client.

“It’s important to me that my guests enjoy themselves and their meal.”

Christa, matriculated culinary training at the International Culinary Center in New York City. NYC Food Protection and CPR certified, Christa is also a member of the NYC’s Minority Owned Women’s Business Entrepreneur network. Christa has also completed the FastTrac New Venture Certification program sponsored by NYC’s Small Business Services. She holds multiple degrees including a Juris Doctorate from NYU Law, an MBA in International Finance from Columbia, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from Bryn Mawr College. Christa lives in Brooklyn with her husband.
